questions
Do I need to be fluent in English?
No. You just need basic English skills. If you can hold simple conversations and understand everyday phrases, you'll be fine.
Will there be any Portuguese spoken?
From the moment the program starts, we use English exclusively. This full-immersion approach helps you think and communicate naturally in the language.
Can I use Google Translate to help me communicate?
To make sure everyone stays immersed and present we encourage you to rely on what you know, phone use is restricted to your room. We'll be away from the hotel all day long, living, learning and exploring.
What's included in the experience?
Your program fee covers accomodation, local transportation, tickets to all activities, and every pedagogical session. Air fare, meals and personal expenses are not included.
How old do I need to be?
Participants must be at least 21 years old by the departure date.
Is this a vacation or a course?
It's an 8-day immersion program. You’ll explore the city while living the language in real situations — taking the subway, ordering food, asking for directions, and more. Think of it as learning by doing.
Will classes be held in a classroom?
Forget classrooms and textbooks. All learning happens outdoors in real-life situations — in cafés, on the subway, at markets, and on the streets. You'll practice English by actually living it.
How many participants are in each group?
We keep groups small — no more than 12 people per trip — to ensure personal attention and a better experience.
